Battlefield Loops (west)

Date: 4/6/23
Distance: 40 miles
Elevation: 2,000 feet

Route Description

This course features hot laps around the 4.5-mile Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park loop, which includes one city limit sprint sign at about the 4-mile mark, followed by a steep climb up to Battlefield Park to finish at the park entrance just before the intersection of Douglas Street (62B). The big question is whether to go for the flat-ground sprint or conserve energy for the uphill finish! After the first lap, we’ll slow roll together back to the lap start for another round.

There are two sprint signs on the way out and two on the way back (see map above). All are fair game, but let’s make sure everyone is caught back on afterwards.
